I finished my PBL activity this week. I created a wiki that I introduced to my class last week. Most of my students had never used a wiki before; some did not even know what one was. The activity went really well. The students bought into the challenge. I think that is key. A bright man, @McGough3R, said that if they buy in, I have them. He was so right. The presentations were some of the most thorough I’ve ever seen. These students took on the following roles: Captain, Monarch, Shipwright, and Cartographer. It was beautiful! One of my groups even added a twist of piracy and slave ships which perfectly segues into the next text: “The Interesting Narrative of Eqiuano.” I couldn’t have asked for a better project!
